Frends Layla Headphones Review

Hey guys, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas surrounded with your friends, family and loved ones. I love Christmas, its just the bloating you feel after the huge meal which sucks. My mother decided to make matzo ball soup and for our dinner and kosher chicken - fairly hypercritical don't you think? A Jewish meal for a christian holiday.

And whats the best thing about Christmas besides the food? The presents of course! I gave my Disney obsessed friend a sully mug, she freaking loved it! Of course I received a few presents myself, my favorite being the Frends Layla headphones in the oil slick finish. And This is what i'm going to review for you guys today.

The first thing I noticed about the headphones were how incredibly gorgeous they were, the pictures honestly don't do them justice as there are millions of different colours in them. The other colours they come in is rose gold, gold and silver but looking at the other colours, The Oil slick is most definitely my favourite colour as I am obsessed with duochrome finish of them.

I know what you're thinking- these look stunning, but what is the sound quality like? Surprisingly the sound quality is brilliant. Every word comes out super clear and loud, but without the music escaping and you can't hear anything unless the headphones are on your ear. This is personally something that I despise in the beats by dr. dre is that everybody on the outside can hear what you're listening to. I would hate to give my family the dis-fortune of listening to all my music with the occasional swear word in it.

Also, These are extremely comfortable. The cushioning is memory foam which means that it wouldn't snag against your earrings which is another thing I hate about the dr.dre beats. The layla headphones are specially designed for women which is why they are not as big and clunky as beats- honestly, after wearing these for a couple of days I have no idea how I could possibly go back to wearing mens headphones. It comes with a case, but in my opinion it is a little bit weak (think cosmetic bag material). It is a little bit annoying but if you make sure not to just chuck them into your bag full of clutter then its fine.

My only gripe is that they are near impossible to find in London, let alone the UK as a whole. My mum got mine from Browns of south molten street (just off oxford street, by bond street) for £140 which granted is a lot of money, but in my opinion totally worth it. I know that you can also get them in selfridges and harrods, but unfortunately they don't stock the oil slick finish.

Overall they are a great present and I love them to bits.

thanks mummy

would you consider getting a pair of frends?

Boxing day sales

Hi guys, I know that I haven't posted in ages but I am here with my finds in the boxing day sales.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely hate going boxing day shopping. The shops are crazy crowded and full of irritable people basically grabbing items out of your hands. This actually happened to me once in 2010 at the mere age of 13 when my mother took me shopping. I found a top I liked in river island, but it seemed like another girl liked the top even more- this caused her to snatch it out my hands, how rude! all I can say is that I hope that little girl is happy with that owl top!

Any way, I prefer shopping online as it is calmer, easier, and there is more choice. Here are a few things that have caught my eye from various websites.

My Asos Wishlist

I am literally obsessed with this pinafore. I have wanted a pinafore for ages, but never had the nerve to buy one or wear one. But at £22, this pinafore is perfect for the upcoming cold months with a long sleeved top, a scarf, and my primark super cozy tights. Also, who doesn't love the black and white tartan print? These cut out boots are fabulous as well and in the beautiful oxblood colour they are perfect for the winter. The scarf just sums my style up in a nutshell. It is long, cozy and simply glorious. I may have to add this sneakily into my shopping basket ;). The last item in the Club L dress. This is so not my style, but it is so amazing that I couldn't not add it into my wishlist. I love the lace detailing on the top half so much that this is also a temptation and at only £20 I can't see why I shouldn't!

My Lush Wishlist

Ok so let me be the first to say that I am obsessed with Lush. Lush is a brilliant shop that makes brilliant bath and shower products. For example Bombardino is a bath bomb with a distinct vanilla smell. It is lovely and fizzes so nicely. The gift set looks amazing as well as it involves the bubblegum lipscrub and santa baby lip balm. The chou chou i love you toothy tabs look interesting to say the least, but I am intrigued to try them. Snow Fairy has always been my favourite scent from the brand, and no doubt I will order about 765 bottles in the sale. But this little baby caught my eyes more. It is a massage bar that smell like snow fairy! I will most certainly be ordering a couple of these along with my 765 bottles of snow fairy. Can you not tell i'm a little bit obsessed? The rose jam shower gel is gorgeous as well and it smells exactly like the bubble bar.The lush sale is fantastic at 50% off most christmas things so I shall definitely be ordering a few off the website.

So that is my sale finds. Let me know if you liked this post and I will be sure to post more of this stuff. My next post is extremely exciting so e sure to check back in a few days time (and yes, this time I do mean days!)

Stay stylish

My first post

Hello beautiful people of the Internet. Welcome to my blog!

I thought that I should take this opportunity to tell you about myself and what you can expect from my blog as a whole.

As you can probably tell, this blog is going to be about fashion. I have been interested in fashion for the better part of two years as well as buying and enjoying beauty products. Of course some of my beauty products will be making an appearance on the fashion thief  In the next couple of years.

Being only 16 years old, I have a very small wallet which unfortunately I cannot buy as many expensive clothes and accessories as I would like (I'm looking at you Chanel). This means that most if not all my clothes are affordable.

Ok I think I will leave it there for now but keep your eyes out for more (I have an exciting post for tomorrow yay)

Love Emma xx
